  • 2010.09 : Started Custody Service for Korean Hedge Fund
  • 2013.12 : Selected by National Pension Service, Korea as a Custodian Bank Domestic Equity
  • 2014.04 : Accomplished One Trillion Securities Lending Balance Under Custody
  • 2014.09 : Opened New Custody System based on X-Platform

2. Custody Service business scope

  1. Domestic Fund Custody
    Safekeeping and settlement of Domestic Equity and Fixed Income through KSD
  2. Overseas Fund Custody
    Contract with foreign Global Custodian, Safekeeping and settlement for Foreign Direct Investment related security
    Management for foreign Fund of Funds.
  3. Asset Backed Securities Service
    Agency service for ABS issuance, SPC Fund Management and Fund Administration.
  4. Domestic and Foreign Alternative Investment Fund Custody
    Custody, Management and Contract execution, Settlement service
  5. Compliance
    As a Custodian bank, we comply applicable laws and regulations on managements, collective investments and investment instructions in accordance with Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act in Korea.
  6. Accounting
    Valuation, Calculate NAV and validates standard price in accordance with Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act in Korea.
  7. Reporting
    Provides reports of Assets Under Custody and other customized reports to meet our client’s needs

3. Major customers

  • Woori Bank is a Custodian Bank of a great number of major investment institutions in Korea. Our major customers are local pension fund (62.85%), investment management companies (21.15%), government organizations (13.58%) and insurance companies (2.42%)
  • Woori Bank also provides custodian service to Fund or Fund of Funds which are set up by local and foreign investment management companies.
